A 30-day revision plan for JEE Main

Plan the final 30 days of JEE Main revision with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics priorities, timed sets and a useful mock-test error log.

For JEE Main Paper 1 candidates who have covered most chapters. This is a revision plan, not a complete first course or a chapter-weightage prediction.

Your study plan

Use this suggested routine as a starting point. Adjust the pace to your diagnostic results and available time.

  1. Days 1–3

Diagnose gaps and prepare one chapter checklist.

    Checkpoint: A subject-wise repair list.

  2. Days 4–14

Repair concepts and solve chapter questions.

Checkpoint: Formula notes with assumptions and corrected examples.

  3. Days 15–24

Alternate mixed timed practice with review.

Checkpoint: A tested subject order and fewer repeated errors.

  4. Days 25–30

Revise errors, formulas and familiar methods.

Checkpoint: A compact revision pack and checked exam instructions.

Use errors to choose your chapters

Take a mixed diagnostic across Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Check the official syllabus before you commit revision time to a topic.

  • Separate concept errors, algebra errors, recall gaps and time pressure.
  • Choose chapters you can improve with focused revision while maintaining strong areas.
  • Keep all three subjects in the week. Do not choose chapters only from an unofficial weightage list.

Revise the method as well as the formula

A formula card should say when the formula applies, its units and its assumptions. In Mathematics, write the first step that identifies a method.

  • Physics: draw the system and identify the governing relationship before substitution.
  • Chemistry: pair reactions and facts with the conditions that change the answer.
  • Mathematics: solve without a worked solution, then compare your route and algebra.

Use timed practice to test decisions

Try different subject orders in practice and keep the one that gives you time to review. Use current paper instructions for timing and marking.

  • Record time spent on questions you eventually left unanswered.
  • After each mock, choose one concept repair and one time-management change.
  • Retest corrected questions later with their solutions hidden.

Make a formula card useful

A card says only “v² = u² + 2as.” What is missing?

Show the worked example
  • State that acceleration is constant for this one-dimensional relation.
  • Define the positive direction and use consistent signs.
  • Use displacement for s and consistent units. Then solve a fresh question without the card.

Review checklist

  • My revision covers all three subjects.
  • I wrote the assumptions beside formulas.
  • I reviewed questions I left unanswered.
  • I retested mistakes without a solution in view.

Common questions

Should I start difficult new chapters in the last month?

Use your diagnostic and available time. Repair a manageable gap first. Do not let one new chapter displace revision of many topics you already understand.
