How to prepare for NEET in 60 days
A 60-day NEET revision plan with daily Biology, Physics and Chemistry blocks, mock-test review, an error log and a final-week checklist.
Use this plan if you have studied most of the syllabus once. If you start from zero, use the diagnostic to choose realistic priorities. Sixty days cannot guarantee full coverage or a particular score.
Your study plan
Use this suggested routine as a starting point. Adjust the pace to your diagnostic results and available time.
Days 1–3
Take a diagnostic and map the official syllabus.
Checkpoint: A chapter list and the three largest gaps.
Days 4–20
Repair weak foundations and revise all three subjects each day.
Checkpoint: Corrected notes plus short chapter tests.
Days 21–35
Mix chapters, revisit Biology diagrams and add timed subject sets.
Checkpoint: A shorter list of repeated mistakes.
Days 36–50
Try two full mocks each week, with a separate review block after each.
Checkpoint: A tested question order and an updated error log.
Days 51–57
Retest recurring errors and revise formulas, reactions and NCERT exceptions.
Checkpoint: A compact final revision sheet.
Days 58–60
Use light recall and check official exam-day instructions.
Checkpoint: Materials ready and a familiar sleep routine.
Start with a diagnostic, not a new book
Take one timed paper under the conditions in the current NTA bulletin. Record wrong answers, guesses and questions you could not attempt. Use the official syllabus to map the gaps.
- Mark each chapter: ready, needs revision, or not yet studied.
- Separate a missing concept from a calculation, recall or reading error.
- Choose two repair topics for the next day. Keep one source of notes per subject.
A daily routine you can adjust
For a day with six available study hours, try the blocks below. Breaks sit outside these hours. With less time, reduce question counts and keep the review block.
- Biology: 120 minutes for NCERT recall, diagrams and questions.
- Physics: 90 minutes for a weak concept and problems without a solution in view.
- Chemistry: 90 minutes across physical calculations, inorganic recall and organic reactions.
- Review: 60 minutes to correct errors and retest older mistakes. On mock days, the paper and its review replace these blocks.
Make each mock change the next day
A score alone does not tell you what to study. Compare subject accuracy and repeated errors across similar papers. Do not treat a practice score as a rank prediction.
- For each wrong or guessed answer, write the cause and the correct reasoning.
- Retest the same concept after two days, then again after a week. These are suggested review intervals.
- If the error returns, study a worked example before another timed set.
- Use the final days for short recall, your error log and normal sleep. Avoid a new full syllabus resource.
An error log that leads to action
You chose zero acceleration for a ball at its highest point.
Show the worked example
- Cause: confusion between velocity and acceleration.
- Correction: velocity is momentarily zero, but gravitational acceleration remains downward.
- Next action: solve three vertical-motion questions without notes, then retest two days later.
Review checklist
- I mapped my weak chapters against the official syllabus.
- I included all three subjects in my weekly plan.
- I reserved time to review each mock.
- I retested guesses as well as wrong answers.
Common questions
Can I prepare for NEET from scratch in 60 days?
Your starting knowledge and available time matter. This plan is primarily for revision. A beginner should first diagnose gaps, choose a manageable scope and avoid any promised score.
Do I need a full mock every day?
No. This sample plan uses two per week during its mock phase. Reduce that number if you cannot review the papers and repair the errors.
